Job summary

LiRo-Hill in Albany seeks an experienced Construction Inspector for NYS Office of General Services projects. You will provide construction inspection for multi-trade contracts to ensure conformance with contract requirements and coordinate with the Regional Code Officer.

Responsibilities include monitoring work, maintaining daily progress reports, and expediting contract execution to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years trade experience in inspecting large scale building construction projects valued above $1 Million.
• Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that plan, and compare design drawings for coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction inspection for multi trade contracts to ensure conformance with the contract requirements.
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards and coordinate with Regional Code Officer.
• Ensure timely decisions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Perform inspections, prepare construction reports, run project meetings and expedite contract execution.
• Maintain a written daily report of progress, workforce, materials and issues on site.
• Identify and resolve problems and communicate with team members across roles.
• Monitor contractor safety operations and coordinate with Regional Safety Manager.
• Travel may be required.
