DOTD-Engineering & Operations in Louisiana seeks a Construction Inspector to assist engineers and technicians. Responsibilities include inspecting work, processing field documents, and maintaining project data across DOTD systems.
The role supports training programs, requires a high school diploma or GED or six months of related experience, and offers development toward higher civil service engineering technician levels.
DISTRICT 05 - UNIT 235- Monroe- LINCOLN PARISH
This position is responsible for assisting professional engineers and/or higher-level technicians in the performance of construction inspection work. The incumbent must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties many times with or without minimal supervision and also be able to interpret unforeseen conditions as they may arise. The incumbent will participate in appropriate DOTD structured training programs as appropriate and attend all continuing education classes and conferences deemed necessary to facilitate the performance of required tasks. Possession of a high school diploma or GED; OR Six months of experience in sub-professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, or mobile equipment maintenance. Compensation: This position is eligible for premium pay for every hour worked: Engineering Technician 1-4 - $2.00/hour
Work Schedule: Work hours are 7:45 am - 4:15 pm, Monday-Friday
