We are looking for a Construction Inspector to help oversee road, bridge or associated construction with construction values ranging from $1‑$50 million. This position can be based out of Waterbury, VT.
The inspector, depending on experience, will oversee various work elements from excavation, backfilling, compaction, cast‑in‑place concrete from formwork to reinforcement, installation of precast elements, bridge seats, bearings and joints, bridge rail, drainage, paving and other incidental items. The inspector will report to the Resident Engineer, or their designee. The position involves interfacing with contractor supervisors to determine and monitor daily work, completing daily reports, measuring and calculating unit price quantities, coordinating independent material sampling and testing, monitoring maintenance of traffic, taking and compiling photographs for tracking daily progress, and updating red‑line drawings using Bluebeam.

Expected salary: $55,600 – $100,000, with potential for adjustments based on education, experience, skills and geographic location.
