Job Description: CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Construction Inspector to join our construction inspection team serving state and local clients. The successful candidate will have experience and aptitude for understanding a wide variety of construction projects involving public infrastructure. Tools, guidance, and ongoing opportunities to enhance your skills will be provided to ensure your continued success.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Conscientious, decisive, proactive, team-oriented, and quality-focused.
• Experience with construction inspection on projects such as storm and sanitary sewers, lift stations, water distribution, embankments, spillways, roads, bridges, lighting, signing, traffic signals, trails, and streetscapes.
• Experience with Site Manager software is a plus.
• Ability to complete the INDOT Certified Technician Program or possess such certification.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full-time site observation and inspect contractor’s work for conformance with specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors and testing labs for material testing as required.
• Measure, calculate, and document quantities installed and accepted.
• Coordinate construction activities with utility companies and public agencies to ensure safety and communication.
• Assist with project closeout documentation.
• Support traffic control plans for safety and emergency road closures or detours.
• Assist in preparing field orders, change orders, and pay applications.
• Support training and mentoring of new employees on construction techniques and standards.
