Whitestone Associates, Inc. is a geotechnical and environmental consulting firm seeking a field inspector to perform on-site testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel in New Jersey. Responsibilities include reporting results to project managers and transporting samples for lab analysis.

Qualifications require 2+ years in field inspection, with preference for geotechnical or environmental experience. Certifications in Nuclear Density Gauge, ACI Field Testing, and DCA areas are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in field construction inspection and testing.
• Prior experience with geotechnical and/or environmental field investigation highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field testing of construction materials (soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel);
• Communicate with project managers and sub-contractors regarding inspection, observation, and testing results;
• Transportation of sample materials for laboratory analysis;
• Preparation of field data and technical reports; and
• Travel to various construction sites to perform inspections.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in field construction inspection and testing; and
• Prior experience with geotechnical and/or environmental field investigation highly preferred.

Required Certifications:

• Nuclear Density Gauge Operator certification;
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1; and
• One or more of the following DCA Certifications:
  • Reinforced Concrete
  • Concrete Placement
  • Soils
  • Structural Masonry

Higher compensation than the amount listed below may be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Hourly Pay Range

$30 - $45 USD
