Selected candidates will contribute to a comprehensive suite of Design and Construction Support Services delivered on behalf of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron (1 SOCES) at Hurlburt Field, Florida. All work products shall meet high quality standards, be submitted on schedule, and be performed on‑site. Scope of services includes oversight of professional services activities, studies, analyses, and technical evaluations, and the application of specialized engineering and technical knowledge. Personnel will be assigned to support either the Engineering Flight (CEN) or the Operations Flight (CEO).
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, question activities and issues in all functional areas, and make sound business decisions based on the data.
Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; write and type on a computer; walk; use hands to manipulate materials; occasionally stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision: close vision required.
Primarily active construction site environments with some office work. Outdoor conditions and varying weather. Noise level moderate to high at construction sites.
