Job summary

LaBella Associates in Lockport, NY is seeking experienced Construction Inspectors (Part-Time) to join our growing team. This assignment requires 2–3 days per week for about 20 months, with potential to transition into full-time employment.

You will conduct construction observation, document field activities, interpret plans, and prepare field and record documents. Travel to field locations is regular, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior relevant work experience and knowledge of roads, stormwater utilities, water and sanitary sewer line installations as well as SWPPP inspections.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural plans and details.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of Construction Inspection experience
• 4-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
• Knowledge of erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance OSHA 10-hour certification, preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Additional certification requirements maybe necessary.

Job Duties

The Construction Inspector is responsible for construction observation and documentation on specific project site locations. Travel to field locations on a regular basis is expected, as well as construction document interpretation, field report preparation and record document preparation.

Salary Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
