The Construction Helper performs physical labor tasks on construction sites, assisting craft workers or electricians. Responsibilities include carrying tools and materials, setting up equipment, and performing tasks varying in complexity from easy to hazardous.

Job Duties

• Spot and direct heavy equipment operators during excavation operations.
• Operate small equipment, such as skid steer loaders.
• Cut and thread steel pipe; assist in fitting and installing tanks.
• Assist the foreman with shooting grades and documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Ensure safety signs, barricades, and devices are in place.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and comply with safety requirements.
• Manage tools and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Travel to in-state job sites, with Per Diem and travel expenses paid by the company.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license for operating company vehicle.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, stand, and walk for most of the workday.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read blueprints and take measurements.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Pass employment screenings including drug, background, and MVR checks.
