JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title:Construction HelperDepartment:ConstructionReports To:Construction ManagerFLSA Status:Non-exemptSummaryThe Construction Helper partners with the Construction Crew Leader to complete the necessary tasks and projects for the construction departmentEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMake the vehicle ready for the day planned by the work assigned, (Load parts according to what is given by the inventory coordinator, ice for cooler, etc.).Assist in loading and unloading of heavy equipment.Assist the Crew Leader in completing the work.Assist the Crew Leader with maintaining required vehicle logs.Observe safety in completing the work orders in compliance with standards and regulations.Maintain cleanliness of equipment and toolsPerform any other activities that are asked of.Key Performance IndicatorsAcceptable evaluation by Construction Crew LeaderQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalent.Mechanically inclined and interested.Prefer some related utility experience.Language/Math/Reasoning AbilityAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Computer SkillsSome personal computer skills include electronic mail, record keeping, Paycom, etc.Physical RequirementsModerate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily product/technical nature.Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.Working EnvironmentThe ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.Outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.)Must be available 24hrs a day at times.Loud to Very loud (examples: jack hammer work, front row at rock concert).Employee AcknowledgmentMy signature below acknowledges that I have received, read, and understand this job description, and that I am expected to consistently demonstrate the essential job duties and core competencies of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
