Job summary

PuroClean in Kingston, NY is seeking construction helpers to support growing mitigation projects. You will assist management with purchasing materials, deliver to job sites, help set up and break down jobs, and perform basic punch list duties as needed.

Responsibilities include staying organized, communicating updates to the management team, following safety guidelines, and working in varied weather conditions. Valid NY driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge to perform punch list items listed in the role description.
• Understanding of common building materials used on job sites.
• Able to stand, walk, lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort communicating with management and clients in a professional manner.

Job Functions:

• Assist management team in purchasing materials and delivering to job sites.


• Assists with setting up of jobs, keeping job site organized and breaking down at the end of the project.


• Perform basic punch list duties when needed. Drywall patch/paint, reset plumbing/electric fixtures, reset trim, etc.


• Communicate with management team with updates and progress throughout day.


• Follows safety procedures and guidelines


• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge and skill to perform punch list items as listed above.


• Basic knowledge and understanding of building materials.


• Self-motivated


• Ability to effectively communicate verbally, politely and respectfully with clients and co-workers


• Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl talk and hear


• Vision abilities (with correction) including close, distance, peripheral, depth and the ability to adjust focus


• Able to work in variable weather conditions


• The employee will be required to crawl, kneel and lift and/or move objects in excess of 50 lbs.

Other Requirements:

• Valid NYS Driver’s License


• Must be 18 years of age or older


• Punctuality and reliability.

Additional Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish would be a great

Work Authorization:

• United States work authorization required

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
