Job summary

Vaughn Construction in Texas is seeking a Construction Laborer to perform physical labor on building projects, operating hand and power tools, preparing sites, digging trenches, and assisting with concrete work per project specs.

You will work under supervision, follow safety rules, and contribute to Vaughn's family-like culture. A high school education is preferred, with 6 months to 1 year of construction experience, and ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of construction experience.
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform strenuous manual labor on heavy construction projects.
• Unload, carry, place, and secure with tie wire concrete reinforcing steel and accessories.
• Manually excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Handle and store materials.
• Finish concrete using hand and power tools (troweling machines).
• Prepare for concrete pours including embedded items and cleaning.
• Concrete patching, repairing, and rubbing.
• Construct built-in-place or prefabricated forms per specs for molding concrete structures.
• Follow safety rules at all times.
