Job summary

EC Construction in Reno, NV seeks a full-time bookkeeper to manage daily accounting, payroll, and tax submissions. This role reports to the owner and requires independence and accuracy in maintaining financial records using QuickBooks Desktop and Excel.

Responsibilities include biweekly payroll, AP/AR, reconciliations, and timely filing of state and local returns. Construction industry experience is preferred, with attention to job costing and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree (preferred) with a focus on accounting.
• 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience in construction or related field.
• Construction industry job costing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
• Expertise in QuickBooks and Excel; proficient with other Microsoft Office programs; ability to learn software such as XactAnalysis and PSA.

Responsibilities

• Accounting duties including journal entries, cash receipts, cash disbursements, payroll, and licensing submissions.
• Payroll runs biweekly; AP runs biweekly; monitor AR/collections.
• File state/local tax and licensing returns; reconcile bank and credit card statements daily.
• Maintain financial records and secure sensitive information.
• Respond to department requests and support interdepartmental needs.
