Job summary

R.B. Hinkle Construction seeks experienced Foremen/Supervisors to lead commercial/industrial projects, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency. You will oversee daily operations, supervise crews, and enforce safety protocols on site.

Candidates should have 5+ years in a supervisory role, strong leadership and blueprints interpretation skills, and a valid driver’s license. This role requires flexibility for extended hours and travel as project demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in foreman/supervisory role in commercial or industrial construction.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage crews effectively.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and safety regulations (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical specs.
• Proficient in project planning, scheduling and problem-solving.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in construction management are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily construction operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Supervise and direct construction crews, ensuring adherence to plans, specs and safety regulations.
• Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce site safety protocols and address hazards or incidents.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and construction documents for accurate execution.
• Monitor budgets, material usage and equipment maintenance.
• Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, clients and team members.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively.
• Train and mentor junior crew members to foster a skilled workforce.
• Ensure work quality meets company standards and client expectations.
