Position Purpose / Summary
The Construction Foreman I is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by planning, organizing, managing, and participating in the day-to-day onsite duties of the project.
Location
This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of the crew and occasionally may also engage in the trade work of the employees being supervised.
- Assist with the preparation of reports for Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (LADOTD) and Developer.
- Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, time sheets, and daily management reports.
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance activities, ensuring they are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards and regulations.
- Track and analyze equipment and facility performance data to identify issues, enhance efficiency, and improve reliability.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
- Quickly respond to breakdowns or emergencies, mobilize resources, and implement corrective measures to restore operations safely.
- Assist in the assurance of contractual compliance in terms of scope work.
- Participate in safety and environmental programs and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Hire, motivate, and lead a high-performing team through coaching, top‑tier talent retention, and directed recruiting efforts.
- Supervise team, including training, providing work direction, problem‑solving assistance, reviewing performance, recommending salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, and terminations.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and consumables, ensuring critical spares are available to avoid operational interruptions.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
At a minimum, the Construction Foreman I must have 3+ years of relevant civil experience with construction within concrete, structures, and/or roads and other senior site role with responsibility for leading and managing a multi‑discipline workforce on a large‑scale project.
