Job summary

Cycle Construction Co., LLC in New Orleans, LA seeks an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Foreman to lead field crews, coordinate daily work, and ensure projects meet safety and quality standards. You will develop two-week schedules, supervise subcontractors and equipment, and maintain thorough project records.

The role requires OSHA certs, First Aid/CPR, a valid driver’s license and TWIC, plus 2+ years as a foreman in heavy civil work. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Foreman or Lead Foreman in heavy civil construction.
• OSHA certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and TWIC, or ability to obtain a TWIC.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use tablets/iPads, electronic reporting systems, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field crews to complete projects safely, efficiently, and within established schedules and guidelines.
• Plan and coordinate daily work with the Superintendent/Operations Manager, including reviewing schedules, drawings, specifications, budgets, priorities, and available resources.
• Develop and maintain two-week schedules, adjusting assignments as project priorities and work availability change.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, materials, and deliveries to keep job-site operations moving efficiently.
• Train and direct employees on construction methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Monitor job-site progress and quality, inspecting work, equipment, and construction activities to ensure specifications and project requirements are met.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site for employees, subcontractors, motorists, and pedestrians. Conduct weekly safety meetings and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
• Investigate and report job-site incidents and accidents and complete required documentation promptly.
• Maintain accurate project records, including time sheets, trucking tickets, invoices, cost coding, equipment checklists, and other required documentation.
• Attend required safety training and monthly supervisors’ meetings and perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Operations Manager.

Cycle Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Foreman to assist field operations from project start through closeout. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all work involving construction project(s) in order to complete work on time and under budget. In addition, the Heavy Civil Construction Foreman will properly supervise construction crew(s) at assigned job site(s).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and construction documents.

• Proficiency in operating or directing the use of construction equipment.

• OSHA certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.

• First Aid/CPR certification required.

• Valid driver’s license and TWIC, or ability to obtain a TWIC.

• Basic computer literacy and ability to use tablets/iPads, electronic reporting systems, and Microsoft Office.

• Basic math skills, including measurements, quantities, elevations, and material calculations.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Ability to work outdoors full-time in active construction environments.
