Job summary

American Fence Company is seeking an experienced Commercial Foreman to lead fencing crews in the Rochester, MN area. The role focuses on reading plans, setting layout, supervising installs, and maintaining schedules with safety at the forefront.

Candidates should have real foreman or strong lead experience in fencing, be able to read prints, and manage crews without raising their voices. A valid CDL and clean driving record are required.

• Real experience as a construction foreman or strong lead (fencing preferred).
• You know fencing — chain link, iron, gates, operators, the whole deal.
• Can read prints and figure things out in the field.
• Can manage a crew without yelling or losing control.

Responsibilities

• Leading crews in the field (not babysitting, actually leading).
• Setting layout, reading plans, and making sure installs are correct.
• Installing and overseeing chain link, ornamental iron, wood, vinyl, and gates.
• Making sure jobs stay on schedule and don’t turn into a mess.
• Keeping the site safe and enforcing basic safety rules.
• Talking with project managers, inspectors, and customers when needed.
• Tracking daily work, materials, and labor.

We’re a busy commercial and residential fencing and barrier company with branches throughout the Midwest. We're looking for experiencedCommercial Foremen who know how to run crews, read plans, and get jobs done right. If you’ve led construction crews before--especially fencing crews--and don’t need your hand held, we want to talk to you about joining our Rochester, MN team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading crews in the field (not babysitting, actually leading).

Setting layout, reading plans, and making sure installs are correct.

Installing and overseeing chain link, ornamental iron, wood, vinyl, and gates.

Making sure jobs stay on schedule and don’t turn into a mess.

Keeping the site safe and enforcing basic safety rules.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For
