Job summary

Confidential Employer is seeking a Construction Accounting Manager in Marietta, GA to lead the internal finance team and ensure project profitability. You will oversee job costing, AIA billing, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, mentor staff, and partner with PMs and operations to connect the field to the financials.

This is a high-impact role reporting to the CFO. You will drive monthly close, coordinate with payroll (Foundation), support audits, and implement process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in construction or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, and revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with Foundation accounting software (or similar).
• Formal accounting education preferred (Bachelor’s in Accounting or related).
• Comfortable in a multi-entity/multi-state environment and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead job costing accuracy and monthly WIP/over-under billing schedules.
• Manage AIA billing and ensure project financials are tracked.
• Own revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion) in line with GAAP.
• Conduct monthly financial close and assist with annual reviews.
• Mentor team members and develop internal accounting talent.
• Collaborate with PMs, service teams, and operations for financial accuracy.
• Support internal audits, reviews, and data integrity across systems.
• Coordinate with payroll and HR where needed (payroll via Foundation).
