Job summary

Kiewit Energy District in Houston, TX is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern for Summer 2027. This internship in the Operational Finance department offers exposure to forecast modeling, cash flow analysis, risk tracking, ROI initiatives, and analytics across cost and revenue components.

As an intern, you will work on project accounting tasks, collaborate with construction teams, and develop a strong foundation in corporate financial processes within a leading engineering and construction company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field with a strong academic record.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end close processes and prepare financial reporting packages for project management.
• Analyze financial data, test hypotheses, and communicate recommendations to management.
• Support payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and human capital management processes.
• Develop forecast models and analyze cash flow for projects.
• Assist with cost, revenue, and budget variance reviews and reporting.
