Job summary

Tower Engineering Professionals in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a full-time Field Technician to support telecommunications tower maintenance and related office tasks. The position requires traveling up to two weeks and performing field duties as well as interpreting drawings and performing due diligence on projects.

The ideal candidate has construction experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and good communication with a team-oriented, self-starting mindset.

Qualifications

• 1 year general construction experience preferred; some cell tower industry experience highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results oriented.
• Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Field Duties (70- 80% of work time): Travel up to a total of 2 weeks.
• Field Duties: Operate heavy machinery and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Field Duties: Perform maintenance on telecommunications towers.
• Field Duties: Dig, bend, and climb inclines as needed.
• Field Duties: Provide superior customer service while ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Field Duties: Adhere to OSHA, COMTRAIN, and industry regulations.
• Office Duties (20- 30% of work time): Upload photos of work completed.
• Office Duties: Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications related to telecom, commercial, residential, and light industrial applications.
• Office Duties: Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.
• Office Duties: Review peer work product.

Responsibilities

Field Duties (70- 80% of work time)

• Must be able to travel up to a total of 2 weeks.
• Must have a labor-intensive attitude and be capable of operating heavy machinery and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform maintenance on telecommunications towers.
• Must have the physical ability and the willingness to dig, bend, and climb inclines.
• Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
• Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations (OSHA, COMTRAIN, etc.)
