Job summary

Shrewsberry & Associates LLC is seeking a Field Engineer to support construction projects. You will report to a jobsite field office and travel locally or regionally to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities include field inspections, coordinating with contractors, preparing daily reports, maintaining logs, reviewing plans, and overseeing subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Scientific discipline from an accredited college, or specialized courses in Construction Management or equivalent experience and training.
• Perform daily on-site inspections for sewer rehab construction projects

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and observations for construction projects, including paving, bridges, utilities, and street systems.
• Inspect, monitor and investigate activities related to NPDES and stormwater programs; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate construction and inspection services with contractors and agencies; communicate with utility companies, contractors, public agencies and the public.
• Coordinate with project superintendents regarding daily schedules including people, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
• Prepare daily reports related to crews, progress, issues, and findings of inspections and test results.
• Maintain logs, records, and as-builts.
• Review plans, specifications and sites for construction projects.
• Coordinate and monitor the work of subcontractors.
• Document delays and changes to scope of work.
• Enforce project specifications and verify contractor compliance with codes, regulations, materials, blue prints, and safety.
• May perform quantity tracking and cost coding for productivity analysis and budget forecasting.
• Assist in preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts.
• Perform daily on-site inspections for sewer rehab construction projects.
