Job summary

Anchor Loans in Thousand Oaks, CA seeks a Construction Analyst to join our Underwriting Department and analyze construction budgets, plans, and project feasibility to support funding decisions for construction loans, collaborating with valuations, underwriting, and processing teams.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will ensure compliance with codes and permits, produce detailed reports, and help drive project approvals while maintaining speed and accuracy in a hybrid work setting with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, or related field required or suitable experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with focus on feasibility analysis.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction documents, budgets, and permits.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct desk-based analyses of budgets, project feasibility, and borrower execution capabilities for construction projects.
• Prepare detailed reports with insights and recommendations to underwriting, valuations, and processing teams.
• Ensure timely communication of findings and potential risks identified during review or inspections.
