Construction Estimator - Residential Remodeling

Position Overview

We are seeking a Construction Estimator to support pricing, budgeting, and project costing across an active residential remodeling pipeline. This role works closely with the design, production, and ownership teams to help build conceptual budgets, scoped proposals, and contract-ready estimates that support successful projects from pre-construction through completion.

We are open to candidates from both traditional residential estimating backgrounds and adjacent construction-related financial or job-costing environments. Candidates with experience in construction accounting, supplier pricing, project cost control, purchasing, or subcontractor financial coordination may also be a strong fit if they have the operational mindset and interest in growing deeper into estimating.

Key Responsibilities

Project Estimating & Pricing

• Build conceptual, scoped, and contract-ready estimates for residential remodeling projects
• Assist with budgeting throughout the project lifecycle
• Support pricing accuracy and scope validation
• Meet committed turnaround timelines

Materials Takeoffs & Costing

• Build quantity takeoffs from architectural drawings
• Price materials using current vendor and supplier pricing
• Maintain awareness of pricing fluctuations and lead times

Trade Partner & Vendor Coordination

• Solicit and manage trade partner bids
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on current pricing and availability
• Maintain organized pricing and bid documentation

Production Handoff & Ongoing Support

• Export finalized budgets into project management software accurately
• Assist with purchase orders and change order pricing
• Support production teams with pricing clarifications during construction

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in residential remodeling estimating, construction job costing, project cost control, construction accounting, purchasing, or related fields
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to read plans and understand project scope
• Strong communication skills with vendors, designers, and project teams
• Comfortable working with budgets, spreadsheets, and estimating software
• Self-directed and detail-oriented

Preferred Background

• Residential remodeling or design/build experience
• Construction accounting or supplier finance experience
• Materials sourcing or procurement exposure
• Experience supporting project budgeting or operational finance

Compensation

• Approximately $70,000-$90,000, depending on experience and depth of residential estimating knowledge
