Join our client’s team as a Construction Estimator (Plan & Specification) in Delaware County, PA, and play a key role in shaping healthcare and higher education projects. Use your expertise to develop accurate cost estimates by reviewing project specifications, budgets, and plans, driving successful execution from start to finish.
Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000/year + bonus
Location: Delaware County, PA
Responsibilities as the Construction Estimator (Plan & Specification):- Document Analysis: Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documentation to understand scope, materials, and design requirements.
- Quantity Takeoffs: Utilize digital tools to measure quantities of materials such as concrete, lumber, drywall, and other construction components.
- Cost Allocation: Assign current market pricing for labor and materials based on project specifics and market trends.
- Comprehensive Estimation: Compile cost components into detailed, total project cost estimates.
- Work Package Breakdown: Segment projects into manageable work packages for efficiency and clarity.
Qualifications for the Construction Estimator (Plan & Specification):- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 5-10 years of Estimating experience, specifically in healthcare and higher education projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools such as Bluebeam, Excel, and other relevant applications.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to break down complex projects into actionable components.
