Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator specializing in Multifamily and Commercial Construction for Renovations, TI-Build Outs, and New Construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating project costs and creating budgets to guide our construction efforts. They must possess a strong understanding of construction processes and materials, with a keen eye for detail to accurately forecast the cost, size, and duration of future projects.

Responsibilities:

• Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare estimates.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and specifications.
• Analyze and compute costs based on labor, materials, and time requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing relevant information.
• Build and present detailed, itemized cost summaries.
• Maintain and back up the cost database regularly.
• Enhance technical knowledge through workshops and reviewing publications.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and engineers to gather project details.
• Oversee pre-construction duties such as design reviews and scheduling.
• Create and present project estimate reports to management.
• Review design changes to ensure they align with budget constraints.
• Develop strategies to meet project goals, including scheduling and supply orders.

Qualifications:

• At least 6 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Extensive knowledge of Multifamily and Commercial construction processes.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with construction software for job costing, scheduling, and project management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety regulations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to navigate construction sites, including maneuvering in partially completed buildings, stairs, and outdoor/indoor walking.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites.
