Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team to support large scale construction projects and programs. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with a strongtrack recordofprovidingaccurateestimating services.

Responsibilities include developing cost plans from concept through design across regions, delivering cost plans at milestones, and supervising staff. On-site presence is required, with rail experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant civil infrastructure construction experience in estimating.
• Rail experience is highly preferred.
• Experience providing conceptual and pre-construction estimating services.

• Coordinate, manage and supervise the work of support staff.

Responsibilities:

• Developing cost plans and estimates fromconceptthrough detailed design across multiple geographicregions;with internal and external staff.
• Delivering and presenting updated cost plans atappropriate designmilestones.
• Experience in providing program-level estimates for specific scopes of work
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise the work of support staff.
• Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologiesand preparing estimates withinappropriate accuracylevels.
• Help drive cost model trends by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost information from completed projects.
• Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and value engineering ideas at a program level.
• Support training to Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools/templates.
• Support preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying,engineeringor field related to construction.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant civil infrastructure (Aviation, Rail, Transportation, Bridges/Roads/Highways, Tunnels, Utilities)construction experience working in an estimating role supporting major programs. Rail experience is highly preferred
• Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.
• Experience supportinglarge scale construction projects and programs.
• Goodknowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.
