Job summary

RGZ Construction in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX seeks a diligent Construction Estimator to prepare accurate estimates by analyzing cost data and collaborating with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors from bid to award.

The ideal candidate has strong numerical skills, an analytical mindset, and experience managing relationships across project teams. This is an in-person, full-time role requiring detailed cost analysis and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an estimator or similar position.
• Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
• In-depth knowledge of data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
• Exquisite math and IT ability with an analytical mindset.
• Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff or similar software.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
• Thoroughness and reliability.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• CPE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand the project/program and its requirements.
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
• Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other venues.
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
• Use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
• Perform risk analysis.
• Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions, etc.).
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
• Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs, etc.).

RGZ Construction is looking for a diligent Construction Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for our projects by gathering information and analyzing key cost metrics. In this role, you'll provide the cost and benefit insight that drives profitable business decisions, working closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors from the earliest stages of a bid through award. The ideal candidate has excellent numerical skills, an analytical mindset, and is thorough and skilled at managing relationships with key people across the project.
