Job summary

MPI is seeking an Estimator in Chicago to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects. You will analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals, coordinating with subcontractors to assemble bid packages and present them for review.

You will collaborate with project managers and executives to ensure bids are competitive and profitable, applying CSI divisions and construction documentation expertise as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software Timberline or Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
• Familiarity with CSI divisions and construction documentation.
• Experience with subcontractors and vendors to gather pricing.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects by analyzing drawings, specs, and proposals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to assemble bid packages.
• Present bid packages to project managers and executives for review.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
