Job summary

HCRC is seeking a Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding on heavy civil infrastructure projects. The role involves quantity takeoffs, bid schedules, subcontractor pricing, risk assessment, and maintaining estimating process consistency.

You will collaborate with project managers and engineers, prepare complete proposals, and help drive pricing strategy. A bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering and about 5 years estimating experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; PE designation is a plus.
• Approximately 5 years of estimating experience in construction or heavy civil.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software (InEight preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review bid documents to understand project requirements and develop estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop estimate components.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to prepare proposals.
