Job summary

RallyX in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an analytical Construction Estimator to join our team. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, and prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, helping us secure profitable projects from the start.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience estimating residential or commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform material takeoffs and quantity calculations
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Assist in preparing competitive bid proposals and project budgets
• Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Operations teams throughout the estimating process
• Maintain estimating databases, pricing information, and historical project costs
• Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Estimate work to include: concrete, masonry, framing, trim, insulation, drywall, siding, landscape and irrigation
