Job summary

Lehman Daman Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to craft accurate estimates for schematic, design development, and permit drawings. The role supports bidding and budgeting across industrial, office, education, and healthcare sectors, aligning with project goals.

You will develop detailed line-item budgets, collaborate with designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, and present estimates for client review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Three to five years of construction estimating experience.
• Strong mathematical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate projects across industrial, office, education, and healthcare sectors with values from low to high millions.
• Develop budgets through conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Prepare competitive hard bid estimates for plan and specification projects.
• Assist service department with estimating smaller projects and line-item budgets.
• Conduct value engineering to save costs while preserving scope.
• Manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines; present budgets with documentation.

The Estimator supports Lehman Daman’s efforts to win work by providing estimates for schematic, design development, and permit level drawings.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for estimating projects of varying size and complexity within the industrial, office, education, and healthcare sectors, with project values ranging from $10,000 to $20 million.
• Develop accurate budgets throughout all design phases, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Prepare competitive hard bid estimates for plan and specification projects.
• Assist the Service Department with estimating smaller projects, including development of detailed line-item budgets.
• Conduct value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project integrity.
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Present estimates and budgets to customers, including preparation and explanation of supporting documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to develop complete and accurate estimates.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred, but nor required.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of construction estimating experience.
