Job summary

Pervenio Search and Consultants is seeking a Construction Estimator for a leading floor underlayment company. You will support project estimation, sales and management tasks, prepare proposals and cost estimates, and monitor budgets and progress.

Ideal candidates have 3-5+ years in construction estimating, a 4-year Construction Management degree, and strong skills with MS Office and estimating software. Competitive salary and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Ability to view projects from field and office.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.
• Experience using estimating software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to review proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ability to develop relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

$65K to $85K Starting Salary

The company is a well-established industry leader in commercial floor underlayment with a deep focus on solutions for subfloor prep and finishing. The Construction Estimator will provide support towards project estimating, sales and management support for a broad array of commercial flooring projects. Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track and evaluate project progress, budgets, and recommend changes.

Key Duties Include

• Gather proposals, specifications, and related documents required for project estimation and takeoffs.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Support scopes of work as necessary to assist sales team in completing a proposal.

Key Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years construction estimating.
• 4 year Construction Management degree.
• Must have the ability and knowledge to view projects from field side as well from the office.
• Must be knowledgeable and able to use Microsoft software applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project, proficiently.
• Estimating software experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Review proposals from sub-contractors and suppliers, account for all equipment, labor, and mobilization costs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Portray a positive work attitude and demonstrate professional customer service skills.
