Job summary

Empire Netting and Fence in Nebraska is seeking a Commercial Fabrication– Estimator to deliver accurate, thoughtful estimates for complex fabrication projects. You’ll read blueprints, evaluate methods, and collaborate with PMs and vendors to set up winning bids.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of construction estimating, knowledge of materials and costs, and proficiency with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage, and Excel. OSHA 10/30 and a related degree are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and specs.

You likely have:

• 2+ years of construction estimating (or closely related experience)


• A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs


• The ability to read and truly understand blueprints and specs


• Experience with estimating tools like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage, or similar


• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills


• Confidence to ask questions, submit RFIs, and challenge unclear scope
