The following qualified candidates should have at least 5+ years of General Contacting Estimating experience and local to Los Angeles or Orange County.

• Review project plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and time costs.

Bid Preparation:

• Develop competitive bids and proposals.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure bid compliance with requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed and organized records of all bid documents, cost estimates, and project information.
• Prepare bid comparison reports for management review.

Market Analysis:

• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and market conditions.
• Adjust estimates based on changes in labor rates, material costs, or regulatory requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and functionality.
• Propose alternative construction methods or materials to optimize costs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years of General Contracting Estimating experience.
• Familiarity with construction project management processes.
• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is often preferred.
