Job summary

Frazier Industrial Company in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare proposals and bids for material handling storage systems for the region. You will review plans and specifications and craft cost estimates for labor, materials, goods, and services.

You will provide alternate solutions to RFQs, coordinate resources, track scope changes, and support the Sales Team to win bids while ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university; or 5+ years related experience and/or training.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a multi-faceted organization.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities with team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of quotes and proposals for use by the Sales Team.
• Review plans and specs to develop and prepare cost estimates for labor, material, goods and service.
• Provide alternate solutions to RFQ.
• Release project scope and obtain competitive pricing for non-manufactured parts and labor.
• Track changes in scope affecting project and follow up on proposals.
• Coordinate FraZier resources for responding to customer service issues reported by clients or distributors.
• Maintain project and proposal records and troubleshoot customer service issues in the sales process.
• May call on engineers or other professionals for bid clarifications.

• Review plans and specs and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates for labor, material, goods and service
• Provide alternate solutions to RFQ
• Release project scope and get competitive pricing for non-manufactured parts, non-standardized components, labor, freight
• Track changes in scope affecting projec
• Follow up on proposal
• Report on successful/ lost bids to managemen
• Coordinating Frazier resources for responding to customer service issues reported by clients or distributors
• Coordinating the maintenance of project and proposal records
• Field troubleshooting of customer service issues, or further sales responsibilities
• May call on municipal or private industry representatives such as engineers or other --professional and technical personnel
• May call on customer/ client for bid clarification
