Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and healthcare electrical projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of electrical control systems, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements: MUST have Industrial/Electrical estimating experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the full scope of work and necessary estimate components.
2. Interpret and analyze electrical schematics, applications, codes, specifications, and drawings related to commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects.
3. Develop comprehensive estimates by conducting complete take-offs of the required scope of work.
4. Generate project budgets using historical data and limited information.
5. Coordinate and oversee estimating efforts for assigned projects.
6. Review and approve take-offs and estimates prepared by trainees.
7. Submit competitive bids and proposals.
8. Provide detailed breakdowns of estimates and communicate essential cost information to Project Managers.
9. Maintain files of working documents, including current supplier pricing.
10. Update and improve the computer-estimating system for accuracy and efficiency.
11. Introduce improved estimating procedures to enhance workflow.
12. Plan estimate backlog to determine staffing needs.
13. Prepare reports and documentation as required.
14. Identify and implement cost-saving strategies through Value Engineering and redesign.
15. Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and construction teams for seamless project execution.
16. Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and clients to foster business opportunities.
17. Follow up on proposals, gather data, and refine estimating processes.
