Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for commercial projects in West Michigan and beyond. You will collaborate with preconstruction, operations, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and thorough project pricing.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in commercial construction estimating, ground-up and renovation project experience, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with ground-up and/or major renovation projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analyses.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for scope completeness.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Assist with bid preparation, proposal development, and client presentations.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners.
• Support project teams during preconstruction and project handoff activities.

The Construction Estimator will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates and budgets for commercial construction projects. This individual will collaborate closely with preconstruction, operations, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive and comprehensive project pricing.
