Job summary

ServiceMaster DSI in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a full-time Construction Estimator. You will review job-site information, create from scratch estimates, and provide line-item notes with justification, using Xactimate and Symbility.

This in-office role offers potential to work from home, with opportunities to advance to management. Requires expert estimating skills, 5+ years experience (10+ preferred), TPAs experience, and ability to meet tight deadlines. Competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review job site information from photos and notes from the field.
• Estimate projects using Xactimate and Symbility.
• Provide training and feedback to Estimators.
• Understand and provide feedback on monthly software adjustments.
• Submit complete estimates for approval within required timeframes.
• 3D scanning experience (Matterport) is highly desirable.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, project managers, and adjusters.
• Produce supplements and change orders as needed.

The Position

This full-time, in-office role (with opportunities to work for home). The Construction Estimator is responsible for initial review of the construction estimates in Xactimate and Symbility and provide feedback and recommendations with detailed justification through line-item notes that aligns with our goals. The estimator is also responsible for creating construction estimates from the ground up based on digital sources.

There is potential for this position to turn into a management position with a team under them to utilize current and forthcoming technology sources to build the highest quality construction estimates. This position will work with the V.P. of construction to develop standard operating procedures and create process maps to streamline estimating.

This position starts at $70,000 up to $80,000 depending on experience, with up to a 20% bonus!

Must be able train estimators on preferred estimating guidelines and the latest industry trends.

Understand and provide feedback on the monthly adjustments made to estimating software.

Submit complete estimates for approval within the required timeframe.

Previous experience with a 3D scanning software such as Matterport is highly desirable.

Communicate effectively with the internal team, project managers, and insurance adjusters.

Produce supplements and change orders as needed.
