At KOMPAN, we take pride in our commitment to the global environment. We exceed sustainability efforts and make it possible to lower carbon emissions by utilizing recycled ocean waste, consumer-recycled plastics, and textile waste to create playgrounds that are born green or made green.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material estimates using digital tools e.g. RSMeans, AI, etc.
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates based on project scope, drawings, and historical data.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and the sales team to align estimates with design intent and constructability.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and scope reviews to ensure estimate accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing final bid packages, proposals, and bid clarifications for submission to clients.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, unit pricing, and historical cost records.
  • Assist with risk assessments and scheduling input during preconstruction phases.
  • Oversee detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing using industry-standard software and databases.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers; ensure accurate and competitive pricing across all trades.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Sales Reps, ensuring clear communication, timely support, and alignment between project estimates and customer expectations.
  • Perform final reviews of estimates to verify completeness, accuracy, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Develop and refine estimating processes, tools, templates, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support change order pricing, budget updates, and post-bid negotiations as needed.
  • Maintain organized estimate files and documentation for awarded and prospective projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to provide informed estimates.

  • Familiarity with ADA, ASTM, and CPSI playground compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of common surfacing systems: poured-in-place rubber (PIP), artificial turf, engineered wood fiber (EWF).
