Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Construction Equipment Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a full line of heavy equipment. The role requires reading electrical and hydraulic schematics, diagnosing issues, and communicating clearly with service teams.

You will build customer and vendor relationships, follow OEM specifications, and participate in safety and DOT-compliant inspections.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and service diagrams.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call as needed; valid CDL preferred or able to obtain Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventive maintenance on construction equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot minor to major repairs.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and factories.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, blueprints and service diagrams.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
