Job summary

Southern Equipment in Marietta, Ohio is seeking a Parts Associate to deliver outstanding customer service, assist customers with parts needs, process orders accurately, and maintain inventory levels in the Parts Department. You will help ensure customers leave with the right product and a great experience.

You will work with vendors to order parts, verify order accuracy, and keep precise records for future reference. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and proactive service.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training is a plus).
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the construction equipment industry is highly desirable.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction equipment parts and components is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers both in-person and over the phone with parts inquiries.
• Provide expert recommendations based on customer equipment needs; process orders promptly and accurately.
• Maintain inventory records, including part numbers and pricing; assist with annual inventory audits.
• Work with vendors to order parts and ensure timely delivery; verify order accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Keep organized records of parts transactions, invoices, and receipts; generate reports on sales and inventory.
