Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie in Morrisville, NC is seeking an experienced Construction Equipment Operator to join our field operations. You will operate multiple heavy machines at a proficient level, oversee subcontractor work, and assist the superintendent in planning manpower, material quantities, and equipment needs to keep projects on schedule.

You may repair and maintain equipment, record all job details on tickets, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3 years industrial construction equipment operator experience preferred.
• Experience managing operator crews and/or subcontractors preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, sit and stand for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.

Responsibilities

• Operates various types of construction equipment at a proficient level.
• Oversears work of subcontractor.
• Assists Superintendent in planning manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements and other planning functions.
• May repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties.
• Records all job details and time worked on each piece of equipment on provided tickets.
• Performs additional duties assigned by supervisor.
• Confers with supervisory personnel and employees (with appropriate assistance from HR and Legal) to resolve complaints and grievances within the work force.
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
