Job summary

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineering V for our Oakland, CA projects. This part-time role focuses on managing highway and bridge construction, coordinating with contractors, clients, and design professionals to ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.

You will supervise staff, supervise safety and documentation, and contribute to business development while maintaining compliance with federal and state regs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 8+ years or equivalent experience
• Professional Engineer registration
• Valid California driver’s license; MVR check required

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in inspection, documentation and safety.
• Coordinate daily with contractor, client and staff to follow plans and specs.
• Interpret and manage project assignments across highway/bridge construction.
• Identify resources needed for successful project execution.
• Monitor activities and maintain proper work documentation.
• Advise client on construction matters and regulatory compliance.
• Manage multiple projects and stay highly organized.
• Oversee staff development and mentoring.
• Engage with local engineering groups.
• Support development of new business and marketing to clients.
