Job summary

Begell House Inc. is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to help jumpstart or advance a construction and engineering career within the U.S. Army Reserve.

You will gain hands-on experience operating heavy equipment and developing technical skills for civilian construction roles. The role emphasizes earthmoving, site preparation, and road/airfield construction with training that includes equipment maintenance and safety standards, supporting infrastructure and disaster response missions

Qualifications

• Attend a 14-week paid training program to gain skills and certifications in construction, engineering, demolition, and heavy equipment operations.
• Advanced certifications require additional full funded training programs.

Job Overview:

Jumpstart or advance your construction and engineering career through part-time federal service as a Horizontal Construction Engineer in the U.S. Army Reserve. In this role, you will receive world‑class training and hands‑on experience operating heavy construction equipment while developing technical skills that directly translate to civilian construction and engineering careers. As a Horizontal Construction Engineer, you will gain experience in earthmoving, site preparation, road and airfield construction, and operating equipment such as bulldozers, graders, excavators, and loaders. You will also develop skills in equipment maintenance, safety standards, and project executionearning industry‑relevant training and certifications that enhance your civilian employability. Your expertise will play a critical role in supporting infrastructure development, disaster response, and mission readiness, while allowing you to continue building your civilian career.

Requirements:
