Job summary

Cotulla Education in Norfolk, VA seeks experienced Electricians to become Construction Electrician Instructors. Teach in-class and hands-on labs, covering basic electricity, conduit installation, electrical controls, and life safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical or construction trades.
• Experience in Construction Electrician, Commercial Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Electrical Technician roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach electrical trades classes on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Create a welcoming and engaging learning environment for students.
• Deliver hands-on instruction in classroom and lab settings.
• Assist with curriculum development and course material preparation.
• Maintain classroom tools, lab equipment, and instructional materials.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Submit evaluations, reports, and required documentation on time.

About the Role

As a Construction Electrician Instructor (Electrical Trades Instructor), you will provide classroom and hands-on lab instruction in core electrical concepts and construction trade practices.

You willteachstudents across topics including:

• Basic electricity
• Electric services
• Conduit installation methods
• Electrical controls
• Life safety systems
• Construction safety practices

This role combines technicalexpertise, mentorship, and hands-on instruction to prepare students for successful careers in the electrical and construction trades industry.
