Woods Construction & Interiors in Sterling Heights, MI seeks an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to oversee safety on projects nationwide. You will develop site safety plans, ensure OSHA compliance, and mentor teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction safety management.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in construction safety.
• Certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, CHST, or equivalent (preferred).
• Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, including emergency response and hazard mitigation.
• Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, ensure compliance and training.
• Train and mentor employees and subcontractors on safe work practices and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain safety documentation, training records, toolbox talks, and audits.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and subcontractors to integrate safety into all projects.
• Lead safety meetings and orientation sessions to reinforce safe practices.
• Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure OSHA and local regulations compliance and maintain certifications.
• Support safety on remodels and ground-up projects, including crane ops and fall protection.
• Engage in DEI initiatives and safety associations as needed.
