We are seeking skilled and motivated Construction Diesel Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide variety of construction equipment, both in the shop and out in the field. Mechanical Diagnostics & Repair:* Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and transmissions.* Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical issues and make data-driven repairs.2. Preventive Maintenance:* Perform scheduled PMs on construction equipment and fleet vehicles to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.* Conduct inspections of tires, fluid levels, filters, and wear components using checklists and OEM guidelines.3. Field Service & Emergency Repairs:* Respond to equipment breakdowns on job sites and perform field-based repairs quickly and safely.* Communicate with operators and supervisors to assess issues and determine repair priorities.4. Equipment Variety & Versatility:* Maintain and repair a wide range of equipment including: Excavators, dozers, loaders, pavers, rollers, dump trucks, trailers, and company trucks.* Flex between shop work and field support based on operational needs.5. Documentation & Safety Compliance:* Accurately record maintenance activities, inspections, and parts used in service software or paper logs.* Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies at all times.* Support DOT and OSHA compliance through proper recordkeeping and safe practices.**Desired Qualifications:*** 2+ years of hands-on experience as a diesel technician, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment setting.* High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in diesel or heavy equipment repair preferred.* Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain DOT Medical Card (CDL a plus).* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mobile equipment diagnostics.* Ability to weld, fabricate, or perform basic fabrication repairs is a plus.* Must be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or with a team.EOE/M/F/Disabled/Veteran/DFSP
