Job summary

Concrete Frame Associates is seeking a Construction Engineering Intern for Juniors or Seniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil, construction engineering, or construction management. You will assist the project team with planning, CAD drafting, and field support to ensure safe, economical form systems and efficient schedules.

Ideal candidates will have basic AutoCAD/BIM knowledge, proficiency with MS Office, and familiarity with OSHA requirements, with opportunities to gain hands-on

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM Modeling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to analyze plan layouts, material deliveries, and jobsite productivity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team in establishing the sequential steps involved in all processes with the scope of the project, and adapts schedules and work tasks accordingly
• Supports the planning and estimating stage of projects to ensure the most efficient, safe, and economical form systems are incorporated into the project design
• Assist with supporting the preparation of accurate formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for field crews
• Work closely with the project team monitoring the safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects
• Troubleshoot and resolve concerns regarding structural design with project team
• Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

The Construction Engineering Intern role is for Juniors or Seniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil, or construction engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

• In the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM Modeling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors
• Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding plan layouts, material deliveries, and jobsite productivities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Basic knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations

Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 - $26.50, depending on relevant experience and education.
