Job summary

Orion Placement seeks a dedicated attorney for a full-time, in-office construction defect litigation role in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. You will own your caseload from intake through resolution, operating with independence within a collaborative team environment.

Applicants must hold an active Florida Bar license and a J.D. from an accredited law school, with a minimum of 3 years of substantive construction defect experience.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar license.
  • Minimum 3 years of substantive construction defect litigation experience.
  • Ability to manage cases independently.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy.
  • Experience with ProLaw or similar case management software (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a construction defect litigation caseload from intake through resolution.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategy across construction defect matters.
  • Draft and file motions, pleadings, discovery, orders, and other documents.
  • Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team and communicate with clients.
  • Maintain organization across an active docket.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.
