Join our Field Operations team as a Plumber Crew Leader - Construction Crew Leader and oversee critical water and sewer projects.

City of Fort Wayne - Field Operations/WPCM

Position: Plumber Crew Leader - Construction Crew Leader Pay: $29 - $32 per hour Schedule: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and direct a construction crew in water distribution and sewer/storm collection systems
• Oversee excavations, repair leaks, replace pipe sections, install new assets, and handle valves from 4"-24"
• Perform plumbing work including soldering copper pipe and meter sets
• Operate and direct heavy equipment and trucks as needed
• Ensure jobsite safety, compliance with OSHA standards, and proper documentation of daily work
• Train and mentor crew members

Must-Have Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4 years' experience in heavy equipment construction
• Valid Indiana driver's license; CDL with "A" endorsement within 180 days
• Certified Competent Person: Excavation/Trench & Confined Space (must obtain within 90 days of start)
