Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region seeks a Construction Crew Leader for a one-year AmeriCorps service term in Charlotte, NC. You will lead volunteers on the build site, assist with demolition, framing, insulation, drywall and roofing, and ensure safety and quality on projects focused on new construction, rehab and weatherization.

The role is full-time, onsite at Woodpark Warehouse, with a living allowance, Segal Education Award and loan forbearance, plus housing and training

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident, 18+.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups of volunteers and facilitate safe experiences on site.
• Assist with all hands-on construction tasks: demolition, site prep, framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, roofing and landscaping.
• Projects may include new construction, rehabilitation and weatherization.
• Maintain site safety by following Habitat safety policies and training volunteers.
